When we actively develop these skills, juniors flourish. Teams and clients trust them with more challenging assignments. Partners spend less time correcting drafts and more time selling. Firms spread work more evenly across their associates. Everyone is happier, healthier, and more effective.
I’ve always loved teaching. My fondest memory from high school is helping a younger player on the tennis team develop a calm consistency. My favorite parts of college were coaching the mock trial team and volunteering as an English teacher. And sure enough, several years into my legal practice, I was most satisfied by mentoring junior lawyers. I started Kornweiss Advocacy to embrace my love for teaching and ensure that junior lawyers have the tools they need to flourish.
Before starting Kornweiss Advocacy, I studied economics, business, and Spanish at UNC Chapel Hill. I then attended Duke Law, where I competed on the mock trial team and worked in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic. After law school, I joined Crowell & Moring, where I litigated patent, trade secret, contract, and insurance cases for over eight years.
Outside the legal world, I enjoy producing and engineering music, taking online music courses, attending concerts, and reading.
